The Olympus Corporation has come up with a three-dimensional camera made out of Japanese wood. Using a compression molding process, they compressed cypress wood to look like this beauty here.
The compression technology is nothing short of amazing, and they’ve been able to make the wood harder than plastic. Japanese cypress is a special lumber from evergreens, used for its durability and beauty to make temples, shrines, and other very important buildings.
